En stor del av biltrafiken \u00e4r inte energieffektiv i dag. Bilarnas och lastbilarnas kapacitet utnyttjas d\u00e5ligt, delvis p\u00e5 grund av att br\u00e4nslekostnaden fortfarande uppfattas som l\u00e5g i f\u00f6rh\u00e5llande till nyttan av bilen. Genom logistik kan utrymmet i bilarna utnyttjas b\u00e4ttre.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\"><b><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;\">Det moderna <\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;\">samh\u00e4llet k\u00e4nnetecknas av h\u00f6g specialisering och en l\u00e5ngtg\u00e5ende funktionsuppdelning, s\u00e4rskilt i storst\u00e4derna. Bost\u00e4der har byggts d\u00e4r m\u00e4nniskor g\u00e4rna vill bo, det vill s\u00e4ga n\u00e4ra naturen och ibland l\u00e5ngt fr\u00e5n t\u00e4torternas centrala delar, eftersom det oftast inneb\u00e4r l\u00e4gre boendekostnader. En gles bebyggelsestruktur och relativt sett l\u00e5ga br\u00e4nslekostnader har j\u00e4mte tidvis gener\u00f6sa m\u00f6jligheter till avdrag f\u00f6r reskostnader gynnat bil\u00e5kandet. Med stigande v\u00e4lst\u00e5nd har allt fler skaffat bil. <\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;\">Det \u00e4r f\u00f6rst p\u00e5 senare \u00e5r som de negativa effekterna av den \u00f6kande och allt snabbare trafiken b\u00f6rjat diskuteras p\u00e5 allvar. Hur m\u00e5nga f\u00f6r\u00e4ldrar v\u00e5gar i dag l\u00e5ta sina barn ta sig till och fr\u00e5n skolan p\u00e5 egen hand? Det \u00e4r i varje fall betydligt f\u00e4rre \u00e4n f\u00f6r 50 \u00e5r sedan.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;\">Och vad betyder det f\u00f6r barnen att deras egen fysiska r\u00f6relseradie begr\u00e4nsas alltmer och att m\u00e5nga v\u00e4njer sig vid att bli skjutsade med bil till daghem, skolor, fritidsaktiviteter och s\u00e5 vidare? <\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;\">Vi borde f\u00f6r\u00e4ndra bebyggelsestrukturen s\u00e5 att transportbehoven minskar och\/eller kan tillgodoses p\u00e5 nya, mer j\u00e4mst\u00e4llda och resurshush\u00e5llande s\u00e4tt som att g\u00e5, cykla eller \u00e5ka kollektivt. <\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\"><b><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;\">Det finns klara<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;\"> k\u00f6nsskillnader i resm\u00f6nster och val av transportmedel. Kvinnor g\u00f6r fler riktigt korta resor \u00e4n m\u00e4n. De reser ocks\u00e5 mera kollektivt \u00e4n m\u00e4n, \u00e4ven om skillnaden minskar. Hur vardagslivet fungerar beror i h\u00f6g grad p\u00e5 kvinnorna, eftersom kvinnor alltj\u00e4mt b\u00e4r huvudansvaret f\u00f6r hem och barn \u00e4ven om de yrkesarbetar, vilket svenska kvinnor i dag g\u00f6r i samma utstr\u00e4ckning som svenska m\u00e4n. F\u00f6r att spara tid och anstr\u00e4ngning m\u00e5ste olika vardagsaktiviteter kombineras p\u00e5 ett optimalt s\u00e4tt: l\u00e4mna barn p\u00e5 daghem p\u00e5 v\u00e4g till arbetet, g\u00f6ra ink\u00f6p, bank\u00e4renden och dylikt p\u00e5 lunchrasten och utr\u00e4tta andra \u00e4renden p\u00e5 hemv\u00e4gen i samband med att barnen h\u00e4mtas p\u00e5 daghemmet och s\u00e5 vidare. <\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\"><b><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;\">Att g\u00f6ra kvinnor<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;\"> och m\u00e4n j\u00e4mst\u00e4llda i trafiken inneb\u00e4r inte att kvinnor ska bli mer lika m\u00e4n. Tv\u00e4rtom skulle b\u00e5de m\u00e4nniskor och milj\u00f6 m\u00e5 b\u00e4ttre av att bebyggelse och transporter organiserades mer utifr\u00e5n kvinnors och barns behov \u00e4n vad som \u00e4r fallet i dag. Det f\u00f6ruts\u00e4tter att kvinnor f\u00e5r st\u00f6rre m\u00f6jligheter att artikulera dessa behov\/\u00f6nskem\u00e5l och att man tar h\u00e4nsyn till de synpunkter och f\u00f6rslag som kommer fram.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;\">Allts\u00e5: R\u00f6rlighet m\u00f6jligg\u00f6r specialisering, som kr\u00e4ver r\u00f6rlighet, som uppmuntrar storskalighet. Men detta g\u00f6r oss samtidigt alltmer s\u00e5rbara, eftersom vi blir mer och mer beroende av snabba, energikr\u00e4vande och l\u00e5ngv\u00e4ga transporter. N\u00e5gon har r\u00e4knat ut att det g\u00e5r \u00e5t tio g\u00e5nger mer energi att f\u00e5 maten p\u00e5 bordet \u00e4n den energi vi f\u00e5r n\u00e4r vi \u00e4ter samma mat.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;\">Vi borde g\u00f6ra oss mindre beroende av en del av de l\u00e5ngv\u00e4ga transporterna och satsa mer p\u00e5 lokala f\u00f6rs\u00f6rjningssystem.
