D\u00e4rf\u00f6r \u00e4r den kanske inte n\u00e5gon fullkomlig \u00f6verraskning, hans ungdomsroman Blod i gruset, som nu givits ut p\u00e5 Alfabetas f\u00f6rlag.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><u>Likv\u00e4l <\/u>\u00e4r det hans f\u00f6rsta st\u00f6rre verk i enbart textform. Att han v\u00e4ljer ungdomsromangenren ser jag som en v\u00e4lg\u00e4rning, s\u00e5som f\u00f6r\u00e4lder i st\u00e4ndig kamp f\u00f6r att f\u00f6rm\u00e5 tolv\u00e5ringen att l\u00e4sa bokst\u00e4ver tryckta p\u00e5 papper i st\u00e4llet f\u00f6r dessa evinnerliga sk\u00e4rmar.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Den handlar om Mats som g\u00e5r i femman och har i uppgift att intervjua en gammal m\u00e4nniska f\u00f6r ett skolprojekt. Efter att ha konstaterat att hans egen sl\u00e4kts seniorer alla b\u00e4r p\u00e5 r\u00e4tt trista minnen best\u00e4mmer han sig f\u00f6r att intervjua sin granne och b\u00e4sta v\u00e4n, den 75-\u00e5riga Ing-Mari. I samband med den f\u00f6rsta intervjun b\u00f6rjar Ing-Maris make, den senildemente Lasse, att drabbas av panikattacker och skrika om \u201dblod i gruset\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Det \u00e4r upptakten till ett slags detektivber\u00e4ttelse, d\u00e4r ynglingen parallellt med sitt projekt f\u00f6rs\u00f6ker ta reda p\u00e5 bakgrunden till granngubbens trauma. Kan det ha n\u00e5got att g\u00f6ra med h\u00e4ndelserna i \u00c5dalen 1931, d\u00e5 milit\u00e4ren \u00f6ppnade eld mot ett demonstrationst\u00e5g och d\u00f6dade fem personer?<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Det \u00e4r en sp\u00e4nnande bok b\u00e5de f\u00f6r sm\u00e5 och stora, har jag kunnat konstatera, och den bjuder p\u00e5 flera \u00f6verraskande v\u00e4ndningar p\u00e5 v\u00e4gen. Spr\u00e5ket \u00e4r rakt och direkt utan att f\u00f6r den skull k\u00e4nnas p\u00e5tvingat tillr\u00e4ttalagt f\u00f6r att de yngre l\u00e4sarna ska kunna st\u00e4nga av hj\u00e4rnan en stund. Dialogen flyter p\u00e5 just s\u00e5 bra som man kan v\u00e4nta av en f\u00f6rfattare som skildrat m\u00e4nskligt samspel under tv\u00e5 decennier.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00c4ven den jonssonska humorn, med dess l\u00e4tt ironiska betraktande av omv\u00e4rldens besynnerliga beteende finns d\u00e4r, liksom mustiga och tidstypiska detaljer fr\u00e5n det 1980-tal d\u00e5 romanen utspelar sig (att t\u00e4nka sig att jag hade gl\u00f6mt att gamla m\u00e4nniskor brukade svara med sitt telefonnummer n\u00e4r man ringde till dem!). Boken har ocks\u00e5 ett stort hj\u00e4rta. Varm \u00e4r skildringen av lokalmilj\u00f6n, d\u00e4r alla k\u00e4nner alla och ett slags \u00f6msesidig v\u00e4lvilja genomsyrar samh\u00e4llet.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Och som ett slags r\u00f6d tr\u00e5d l\u00f6per genom boken fr\u00e5gan om lojalitet och v\u00e4nskapens gr\u00e4nser, vem som har r\u00e4tt att gl\u00f6mma och n\u00e4r det \u00e4r dags att f\u00f6rl\u00e5ta.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Att den h\u00e4r boken inte Augustprisnominerats kan tyv\u00e4rr endast f\u00f6rklaras av f\u00f6rlagets storlek.
